Job Description Summary

Responsible for performing various warehouse functions including assembling and packaging deliveries, rotating inventory, and entering patient information. May also manage efficient and timely delivery of medication and supplies to patient homes, ambulatory infusion suites, or other sites of service. Assists with ordering, receiving, and stocking incoming shipments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop a positive working rapport with courier services where applicable, understanding their operations regarding response time, delivery protocol, after‑hours service, and compliance with Federal, State, Local regulations, HIPAA, and ACHC.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle in a clean and orderly condition; inform supervisor of mechanical problems and develop alternate delivery plans during breakdowns.
  • Gather and check compounding material prior to entry into the clean room; compound sterile preparations as needed.
  • Check final product for particulate matter and container integrity before presenting to pharmacist for final review; label prepared sterile preparations when state regulations permit.
  • Pick and pack supplies; develop efficient territory management and delivery zones.
  • Coordinate with customer service and pharmacy to facilitate timely processing of delivery tickets and compounding documents.
  • Assure most cost‑effective delivery methods are utilized; track and trend lead time and cost per delivery.
  • Assist in orienting new warehouse team members; participate in inventory count process through final reporting.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and practices; facilitate efficient workflow processes and stocking of inventory.
  • Assemble and prepare patient deliveries; receive and stock incoming orders.
  • Perform routine maintenance, testing, and cleaning of returned equipment; perform inventory control on products and rotate stock as necessary.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of stock shortages in a timely manner; accurately compile ordered medication, supplies, equipment, and associated documentation for delivery, obtaining supervisory cross‑check of accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

No supervisory responsibilities (no hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, discipline, etc.).

Basic

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company standards, with auto insurance in effect at all times.

  • Texas requirement:
    Registered Pharmacy Technician preferred;
    Pharmacy Technician in training required.
  • Ohio requirement:
    Pharmacy technicians must be registered. Technicians can pick/label/pack non‑compounded drugs but are prohibited from performing any duties related to sterile compounding.
Basic Qualifications
  • Remain aware of the supervisory pharmacist’s role and responsibility for the integrity of medications during preparation, storage, and shipping.
  • Knowledge of geography serviced by the pharmacy, traffic patterns, and drive times.
  • Understanding of all service options and delivery time commitments.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with branch departments.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret operational logistics functions appropriate to duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to operate information systems, follow policy, complete required forms, and prepare reports.
  • Basic mathematical calculation skills.
  • Reasoning ability: identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and contribute toward valid conclusions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • One (1) year experience in warehouse, distribution, inventory, and healthcare preferred.
Travel Requirements

This job has no travel requirements.

Pay Range

Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Pay Range is $18.72–$31.20.
