The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for completion of maintenance projects and working with other mechanics for problem solving issues. Duties require a knowledgeable level of mechanical skills to keep the buildings and support equipment in good repair and ensure a maximum level of the environment of care. Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit, community health care provider, governed by a community-based board of trustees.

Hours :
Full time (40 hours), Day Shift, Weekdays
Location :
Howard County General Hospital, Columbia, MD 21044
High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma is required.
Three (3) to four (4) years’ experience in the construction trade or industrial/institutional maintenance is required.
Requires journeyman level of proficiency in inducting normal repair and maintenance duties, to include and to perform, preventive maintenance and provide documentation for all phases of work.

Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. The Hospital reserves the right to modify employee schedules as needed.
