Senior DevOps Engineer

Security Clearance

Requires an active or re‑fillable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.

Glia Cell is seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to support a U.S. Government customer on a full‑time subcontract. The role focuses on sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems.

• Support platform architectural design, deployment, and debugging throughout the development life cycle.
• Build and maintain a release pipeline for fast, safe delivery of critical software to production.
• Develop and maintain version control and configuration management practices using Git, including branching and merging strategies.
• Serve as a technical lead for an Agile team and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies (planning, grooming, demos, retrospectives).
• Automate release deployments across development, test, staging, quality assurance, and production using scripting languages and automation toolkits.

• Active or re‑fillable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science (or related field) and a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Hands‑on experience with AWS ECS, EKS and DOD‑specific implementations.
• Experience with Kafka, Java, NiFi.

• Fluent with Git.
• Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL, RHCS/RHCE, CentOS).
• Experience with Windows system administration, monitoring, instrumentation, resilience, and performance.
• 10+ years in an Agile development environment.
• Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment.
• Experience with caching technologies (Memcache, Active MQ, Redis, APC).
• Experience with MySQL clusters, replication, tuning and Elasticsearch (Kibana).
• Knowledge of security practices, networking protocols, firewalls, PCI compliance, etc.

Location:

Columbia, MD

Salary Range: $170,000 to $260,000, plus potential for sign‑on bonus and discretionary bonuses.
