Now Hiring for an Associate Production and Material Control Planner

Pay Range: $30.57-$40.85/hr

Position Type:Temporary, Full-Time | Approximately 12-month assignment

Advantage Technical is hiring an Associate Production and Material Control Planner to support a manufacturing organization in Columbia, MD. This temporary role coordinates the flow of work and materials across departments to keep programs on schedule.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities and

Job Duties )
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within and between departments according to program schedule.
  • Gather information, including instructions, drawings, specifications, schedules, invoices, and flow charts, from Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Accounting, Programs, Logistics, Quality Assurance, and Contracts.
  • Confer with department supervisors and cross-functional personnel on progress and completion dates; attend staff, planning, production, and program meetings; track status in SharePoint.
  • Use computers and ERP systems to enter, access, and retrieve data.
  • Forecast material purchase volume and timing, and determine time-phased material requirements based on product structure, build sequence, and lead time.
  • Set up review points and prepare shortage, expedite, and receiving reports. Monitor and report on costs and schedule status, and track earned value on assigned programs.
  • Interpret contract provisions affecting material planning and control.
  • Determine inventory requirements applying sound planning principles.
  • Monitor materials during production and lead residual/surplus material cleanup.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, and develop control feedback procedures, variance reports, and recovery plans.
What You Bring (Education and Qualifications)
  • Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience |

Two years of experience in manufacturing, planning, or inventory control.
