Waters Advanced Diagnostic is seeking a Scientist II – Microbiology to join our R&D Solutions Assurance team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of clinical diagnostics by contributing to the development and validation of cutting‑edge microbiology and molecular diagnostic solutions. • Apply clinical microbiology expertise to ensure our products meet real‑world customer needs.
• Design and execute laboratory experiments with minimal oversight to support product development and validation.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, and Service to improve diagnostic solutions.
• Author and review technical documentation, including validation protocols.
• Support troubleshooting efforts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with advancements in clinical microbiology and related technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Medical Technology, or a related field (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in a clinical microbiology laboratory, specifically bacteriology benchwork; familiarity with molecular technologies and platforms is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of clinical microbiology principles and laboratory practices.
• Strong laboratory skills, including experimental design, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
