Retail Keyholder; Store

As a Retail Keyholder, you will assist the store management team with executing and supervising store activities, ensuring outstanding guest service within Game Stop’s sales culture.

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet and respond to guests promptly, assist with gaming needs, inform about promotions and trade‑in programs, recommend items, apply selling behaviors, and show gratitude.
• Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
• Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS computer system.
• Address guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, answering calls promptly and professionally.
• Promote Game Stop’s guest benefits such as the title reservations program and Pro Rewards loyalty program.
• Ensure all store areas, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised per company guidelines, and that fixtures and equipment are functional.
• Complete Omni‑Channel orders daily.
• Safeguard company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention, including scam awareness, safety best practices, and bank deposits.
• Conduct store inventory counts; stock/re‑stock merchandise on shelves and fixtures and alphabetize products on the selling floor.
• Support store management in exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and perform required administrative and operational duties.
• Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately in the POS system; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposit slips accurately.
• Check shipments for discrepancies or shortages, record in POS, and report to management as needed.
• Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately and promptly.
• Visually inspect associates’ and leaders’ packages and belongings at store closing or end of shift.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates when management is absent.
• Consistently adhere to Game Stop policies and procedures.
• Follow all opening and closing procedures.
• Observe associate performance and provide timely feedback to store management.

• Proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience (preferred).
• Video game knowledge (preferred).
• Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.

• Basic math and alphabetizing skills.
• Self‑motivation and teamwork to complete tasks timely.
• Problem‑solving and judgment abilities.
• Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Deliver bank deposits following loss prevention safety guidelines.
• Work a flexible schedule including extended hours/days as needed, including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days per week).
• Remain effective under pressure and handle stress acceptably.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, and lifting merchandise up to 30 lbs.
• Stand and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

Full‑time store positions are eligible to participate in incentive programs, a 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Positions may also be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentives.

$16.50 – $19.25 per hour
