Optician

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a Full-Time Optician to provide expert optical service within our busy membership warehouse environment. The Optician will guide members in selecting frames and lenses, perform precise measurements and fittings, and ensure proper adjustment and comfort. Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, processing orders through optical systems, managing optical inventory, and supporting sales goals. You'll collaborate with club team members, uphold safety and compliance standards, and deliver member-focused service that reflects BJ's values of integrity, respect, and continuous improvement while growing your retail and optical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in selecting frames, lenses, and lens options based on prescription and lifestyle needs
• Perform accurate measurements including PD, segment height, and frame fitting
• Interpret and verify optical prescriptions and enter orders into the optical system
• Adjust, repair, and maintain eyewear to ensure proper fit and member satisfaction
• Support sales goals through product recommendations and excellent service
• Maintain optical inventory, merchandising, and cleanliness of the optical area
• Collaborate with club team members to deliver a consistent, member-focused experience
• Ensure compliance with optical, safety, and club policies and state regulations
