The purpose of this position is to support all of the retail operations and perform duties in all areas of the Barbershop, Laundry, Tailor Shop, with possible support of the Midshipmen Store, Gift Shop, Uniform Store, Online Store, or any other retail operation within NABSD.
In order to meet the basic requirement of the Sales Associate position, NF-2091-02, you must meet one of the following: (a) Have at least one year of general work experience; OR (b) 2 years of education beyond high school. YOU WILL BE RATED ON THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs) FOR THIS POSITION:
- Front-facing customer service experience.
- Experience in a service-related industry is preferred.
- Experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience working a cash register or a point-of sales (POS) system.
- POS experience in a retail setting preferred.
- Skill in resolving problems individually and as part of a team.
- Experience performing hands-on and/or tactile tasks such as operating crafting or engraving machines, managing and tracking intake of service items (laundry, shoes, etc)
