Markets Intern Lead (Operations & Sales)
The Farmers Alliance is seeking a Markets Intern Lead to manage our market stand at the UDC Van Ness Farmers Market. This role focuses on sales, customer engagement, and driving subscriptions and donations.
Requirements- Based in DMV area
- Strong communication and sales skills
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Interest in food systems or community outreach preferred
- Operate and manage the market stand
- Sell produce, microgreens, and merchandise
- Promote Fresh Basket subscriptions and donation programs
- Support on-site sign-ups and customer engagement
- Track sales and interactions
- Assist with setup and breakdown
The Farmers Alliance (TFA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening America’s food security by developing resilient and efficient regional food systems. TFA expands market access for farmers and connects agricultural communities across the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia with farmers markets, distributors, retailers, and institutional buyers.
