The Public Safety Officer (Security Officer) is responsible for patrolling the Johns Hopkins hospital campus on foot, mobile unit or bicycle to protect against illegal activities, theft, fire, vandalism, hazardous conditions, infringements, etc.

Part‑time (30 hours). Rotating Shift. Columbia, MD.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in security, law enforcement, or healthcare‑related fields preferred.
• Requires current certification in use of corporate security services self‑defense equipment.
• One (1) year of security experience in the public safety officer role.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Minimum $17.37/hour - Maximum $28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for similar roles.
