The Facilities department at Dorset County Hospital are excited to announce that we are looking for Security Officers to join our team providing a 24/7 Security Service throughout the hospital.

We are looking for full time and part time vacancies with set shifts - for more shift information please contact Lisa Rowland.

A background in Security is desirable but not essential as full training in security within a health care setting will be given.

Right to Work in the UK:

This role is not available for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application. Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa applications for this post in line with UKVI regulations.

• • Provide a security presence throughout all areas of the hospital in order todeliver a polite, efficient, and compassionate service to patients, visitors andstaff at all times
• • Provide a first line quick and immediate response to distressed, violent and aggressive persons (including mental health patients) within the hospital,calming individuals using verbal and non verbal communication skills, wherenecessary physically restraining and escorting persons from site in order to maintain a safe environment within the hospital
• • Appropriately operate CCTV in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018and the Trust license for the detection and prevention of crime where required.
• • To undertake checks on every shift to ensure that all CCTV equipment is fully operational and that any faults are reported immediately to the Facilities department by email or phone.
• • Undertake physical patrols of the hospital site in line with schedule and inorder to provide a security presence and maintain a secure environment including checking closure departments.
• • Undertake external patrols to all areas of the Hospital site including car parking areas and outlying buildings ensuring that your presence is noticeable.
