Job DescriptionThe Service Technician II plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems within the Field Operations Department, ensuring the highest level of functionality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct system upgrades and modifications to meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful implementation of security solutions.
- Identify and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and use troubleshooting tools to analyze system performance.
- Provide remote and on‑site support to address client concerns and maintain system functionality.
- Interface directly with clients to understand their needs and address inquiries.
- Provide training and guidance to clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships through effective communication and problem resolution.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of all service activities, including service reports, equipment inventory, and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with the technical support team to contribute to knowledge bases and best practices.
- Ensure all installations and services meet company and industry standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the current role.
- Minimum high school degree or GED required; relevant trade certification preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience installing and maintaining security systems, including projects of $100K or greater.
- Product‑specific certifications helpful; industry certifications desired; must obtain or be able to obtain applicable state and local licenses as required by law.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds; required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Willingness to use personal protective equipment as required on job sites.
- Basic construction experience with some electrical or low‑voltage background.
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic/electrical, fire alarm & life safety, data‑cable installation, or building automation.
- Intimate knowledge of field hardware.
- Ability to read and understand design drawings, PWS, requirement documents, and typical specifications.
- Knowledge of life safety and building codes.
- Ability to discern when escalated support is needed and communicate it effectively; can work with minimal supervision.
- United States citizenship.
- Active driver’s license.
- Experience with Lenel S2, Software House CCure 9000, and Gallagher systems.
- Certifications in Lenel S2 and Software House CCure 9000.
- 25% travel required.
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds and climb ladders; accommodations available upon request.
- Top Secret Security Clearance required; the company will sponsor required clearance levels, but clearance must be obtained and maintained by the candidate.
Hourly Rate: $38/hr – $42/hr
