Part Time In Home Autism Instructor

Trellis Services is hiring one-on-one instructors to work with children and adolescents (ages 10 to 21) with autism in their homes and in the community. This part-time position (4 to 40 hours per week – afternoons, evenings, and weekends) offers flexible hours, great pay ($19/hr), and participation in our 401K plan. As a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

• Provide one-on-one support with community independence, daily living, and recreation/leisure.
• Maintain flexible schedules, including afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Work across Maryland in counties such as Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard, and Talbot.

• Minimum age 18.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Minimum 100 hours of working/volunteer/personal experience with individuals with developmental delays.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.

Physical requirements vary by client assignment. You may be asked to push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, and move quickly according to client needs. You must be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
