Database Engineer Security Clearance

Position: Database Engineer 2 with Security Clearance
Overview Big Bear.ai is seeking a Database Engineer 2 to support mission-critical needs for our government customer. This role will be performed onsite at the assigned customer location. As a Database Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of database systems while collaborating with developers and stakeholders to deliver value-driven solutions. What you will do
* Monitor databases and related systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
* Support agile activities, including release planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to incorporate lessons learned into engineering processes.
* Model data to design local schemas, tables, data types, indexes, procedures, and functions.
* Collaborate with developers throughout the application development lifecycle to build features that deliver value to customers. What you need to have

* Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of database engineering experience.
* Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph (required).
* Technical

Skills:

* Experience with Mongo

DB or Maria

DB, including:
* Deployment and management of the database.
* Debugging and resolving optimization issues.
* Scaling database systems to meet performance demands. What we'd like you to have
* Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as Django or Flask.
* Experience with ReST endpoint development and micro-service architecture.
* Familiarity with tools and technologies such as:
* Swagger for API documentation.
* AWS, C2S, or other cloud platforms.
* Docker for containerization.
* Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs.
* JSON and/or XML serialization.
* Experience with Agile methodologies and tools, including Jira and Confluence.
* Proficiency with Git version control.
