AboutThe Role
The project supports a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians. This position offers flexible hours and telework opportunities from the Peraton facility and allows an early career software developer to develop Java skills and use Quarkus and Prime Faces for full stack development.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
- Debug existing software and correct defects
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
- Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required (4 years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a degree)
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience with Java
- Familiarity with Agile methods and tools, relational databases such as Postgres, and using Maven, Git, and Jenkins environments
- Ability to work in a team environment; good communication and collaboration skills; self‑starter
