Software Engineer; Hybrid

Overview

Wyetech is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. You will work with other engineers to create software solutions that meet client needs, and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.

This role requires a self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented software engineer who can contribute in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.

• Design, develop, and implement software capabilities for computer-based systems.

• Security Clearance: A current U.S. Government security clearance is not required on day 1, but will be processed for one; U.S. citizenship required. Can also consider candidates with current Secret or TS level clearance.
• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience with Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava);
  Bachelors in related field; OR 3 years relevant experience with Masters; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes as needed.

• Experience in designing enterprise APIs and RESTful web services.
• Experience in Microservices architecture and Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms.
• Experience with the agile software lifecycle and Linux operating system.
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven).

• Experience with cloud-native technologies (AWS or Azure).
• Proficiency in distributed databases, No
  
  SQL, and search engines (Elasticsearch, Mongo
  
  DB, or Solr).
• Familiarity with Kotlin; hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Big Data Platform and Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, Git Hub).
• Ability to obtain or maintain DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II compliance.

• Retirement contributions:

Pay range: $52.46 - $139.92 per hour. Compensation varies by contract rates, education, experience, certifications, and location. Hourly rates reflect pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
