Location:
Columbia, MD Design, build, and sustain mission‑critical Java microservices and user interfaces within a fast‑moving, collaborative engineering team. This role supports a growing microservice ecosystem with multiple UIs and requires close, daily interaction with mission customers to deliver impactful capabilities. Tools & Technologies

DB | Kafka | JavaScript | Vue.js | Linux What You’ll Do
Develop and maintain Java‑based microservice web applications supporting mission operations.
Collaborate closely with the technical lead to influence system design, architecture, and product roadmap decisions.
Solve complex software engineering and design challenges in a rapidly evolving environment.
Work directly with mission customers to resolve issues, gather feedback, and propose new features.
Support testing, deployment, and sustainment of production applications.
Contribute within a feature‑driven development process on a highly collaborative team.
Help drive continuous improvement across performance, reliability, and maintainability. What You’ll Need
Strong experience designing, debugging, and solving problems using Java.
Experience developing RESTful web applications.
Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot.
Experience working with Mongo
DB or similar No
SQL database technologies.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and practices.
Comfort working directly with customers to prioritize needs and deliver solutions.
Full‑stack experience, including UI development using JavaScript and Vue.js.
Experience with Kafka or other messaging/streaming platforms.
Experience with Linux administration.
Familiarity with automated build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree. About Kryptauri
