Wyetech is looking for a software engineer who designs, develops, and maintains complex software for federal clients. The role involves creating software solutions in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment and staying current with emerging technologies.
Mid‑Senior LevelU.S. citizenship is required, and a security clearance (TS/SCI with polygraph) may be necessary. A current government clearance is not required on day one but will be processed.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of software engineering experience with Java or Kotlin.
- Strong knowledge of modern Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Guava).
- Experience designing enterprise APIs, RESTful services, and microservices.
- Proficiency in object‑oriented programming.
- Experience with Agile development practices.
- Experience with Linux, Git, Maven, and configuration management tools.
- Bachelor’s in a related field, or 3 years of relevant experience with a master’s, or 9 years with a high school diploma.
- Ability to work hybrid: 1–2 days per week in Columbia, MD.
- Experience with cloud‑native technologies (AWS or Azure).
- Knowledge of distributed databases and No
SQL (Elasticsearch, Mongo
DB, Solr). - Strong scripting skills; familiarity with Kotlin preferred.
- Hands‑on Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to the company’s Big Data platform.
- Agile methodology experience and tools (Jira, Confluence, Git Hub).
- Certification in DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II compliance.
