Senior Speech Recognition Researcher; Onsite

Overview

Principal Researcher – responsible for research, development, and implementation of novel Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) algorithms for a DoD government client in an on‑site role at RTX BBN Technologies.

• Research, develop, and implement novel algorithms to solve ASR challenges.
• Develop software systems to train and test ASR models.
• Build new ASR models using customer data and domain expertise.
• Interface with DoD clients supporting ASR research systems.

• Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance (TS/SCI with Polygraph) required prior to start date.
• University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with the Linux command line.
• Experience with machine learning.
• Empirical research experience.

• Experience with Bash programming.
• Hands‑on experience with speech recognition technologies.
• Experience with ESPnet.
• Experience with PyTorch.
• Knowledge of software development in Python.

This role offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including a salary range of USD
