SkillBridge: Speech Recognition Researcher: TS​/SCI Poly

Position Title

Skill Bridge Fellow – Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) – Columbia, MD

Onsite – Columbia, MD (BBN Technologies, RTX Corporation)

Active DoD TS/SCI (with polygraph) required prior to start date.

• Research, develop, and implement novel algorithms to solve customer challenges related to Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR).
• Develop software systems to train and test ASR models on customer data.
• Build new ASR models for customer data and domain.
• Interface with DoD clients supporting ASR research systems.

• Eligible to participate in DoW Skill Bridge.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance (with polygraph).
• Typically requires a BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline and 8 years of experience, or an MS degree with 5 years of experience.
• Proficient in Python programming and the Linux command line.
• Experience in machine learning and empirical research.

• Bash programming.
• Hands‑on experience with speech‑recognition technologies.
• Experience with ESPnet.
• Experience with PyTorch.
• Knowledge of software development in Python.
