• Security Clearance: A current U.S. Government Security Clearance is desired, but not required; U.S. Citizenship required. Candidates with a current Secret or TS level clearance are also considered.
• 9 years of experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava);
  Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• Experience building and maintaining Kubernetes deployments using tools like Helm and Flux.
• Strong Java software development experience.
• Experience in designing enterprise APIs.
• Experience in RESTful web services.
• Experience in Microservices architecture.
• Experience with the Agile software lifecycle.
• Proven ability to learn quickly and work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with the Linux operating system.
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven).
• Demonstrated experience serving as a tech lead, mentor, or manager for engineering teams.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1–2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.

• Experience in cloud‑based technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Experience designing and writing custom Kubernetes tooling like operators and custom CRDs.
• Experience with programming languages such as Go and Python.
• Experience writing automation in CI/CD tooling such as Git Lab CI pipelines.

  SQL databases, full‑text search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr).
• Scripting experience is a huge plus.
• Prior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is a plus.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Git Hub Enterprise).
