Job Overview
Martin Federal is seeking a Software Engineer to support IT services for the Intelligence Community. The role involves software architecture, quality assurance, and feature development for mission‑critical systems.
Essential Functions- Serve as a software engineer on an application development team.
- Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and launch new features.
- Support sustainment of production legacy systems and design, develop, and implement new functionality.
- Participate in all aspects of software design and development for a DoD customer.
- Design and develop new software systems and enhancements based on user requirements.
- Maintain existing production systems for a mission‑critical function within the IC.
- Work with Team Lead, customer stakeholders, and Requirements Manager to understand functional needs and provide IT solutions.
- Assist with development of test plans for software deliverables.
- Perform functions daily as required.
- U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance (CI Poly may be required). May be scheduled if needed after employee starts.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in computer system applications.
- Prior experience with: C#, Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Visual Studio, SQL Server.
- Must pass drug test, background check, and motor vehicle records check.
- Ability to work a 40‑hour work week, Monday–Friday, with potential overtime and occasional travel.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Professional behavior, appropriate grooming and dress, and safety-conscious.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Security+ certification or willingness to pursue it quickly.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Dev Ops, Git, and versioning tools.
- Experience with AngularJS, .NET Framework, .NET Core, Entity Framework.
- Familiarity with agile methodology (Scrum).
- Experience with COTS, GOTS, and open‑source tools; AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of Windows Forms, Windows Server, Hyper‑V, IIS, Node.js, Docker.
- Office environment, working on a computer for long periods.
- Fast‑paced, deadline‑driven work; requires teamwork and cooperation.
- Ability to travel as needed.
