Job Overview
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Staff Cyber Software Engineer at Annapolis Junction MD, San Antonio TX, Aurora CO, and Carey, NC. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining Command, Control, and Operations (CNO) tools and technologies that support secure, integrated, multi-domain systems for national security missions.

- Provide custom software design and development of CNO tools and techniques.
- Design and develop end‑to‑end data flow and tasking for CNO tools.
- Author documentation and participate in design, coding, and software readiness reviews following government procedures and processes.
- Program in Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.
- Develop Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET; develop UNIX/Linux applications using makefiles or comparable build environments; or develop embedded/mobile platform applications using proprietary, GOTS, or open‑source build environments.
- Provide technical presentations on assigned projects.
- Lead or direct development of new CNO solutions that meet customer demands.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or network engineering with 12 years of experience;
Master's degree with 10 years of experience;
PhD with 8 years of experience. - Experience in programming with CNO tools and techniques.
- Experience using network sockets programming, including packet‑level program development and deep knowledge of IP, TCP, and application‑level protocols.
- Software development experience in one or more of the following:
- Windows application using Visual Studio or .NET environments.
- Unix/Linux application using makefiles or comparable build environments.
- Experience analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Experience with software analysis or reverse engineering.
- Knowledge of CNO development concepts.
- Unit testing frameworks and practices.
