NextPoint Group is currently seeking a Software Engineer level 2 to support a prime contract we have through our subsidiary, US Contracting in Central MD. Software Engineer Level 2 (SWE2) Profile: A reliable engineer capable of implementing containerized application workflows and infrastructure automation using modern Dev Ops and cloud-native tooling. Responsibilities Contribute to the development of deployment pipelines and Helm charts
Collaborate with backend, frontend, and infrastructure teams to integrate services
Work with Kubernetes tooling (Helm, Git Ops, etc.) to support scalable deployments
Follow team standards and participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
Implement and test logic to handle common app deployment patterns, secrets, and config maps
Support internal efforts to standardize and document reusable application deployment templates
Core Skills Comfortable coding in Go, Python, or Type Script
Familiar with Git Ops workflows and CI/CD tools like ArgoCD or Fleet
Experience with Kubernetes manifests, Helm, Docker
Understands basic concepts of infrastructure-as-code and Linux system operations
Can debug and troubleshoot in a containerized environment
Mindset Eager to learn from senior teammates
Open to working across the full stack and infrastructure boundaries
Values automation, documentation, and code reusability
Qualifications:
(U) Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required for this position
