Senior Software Engineer

Design, develop, and configure software components aligned with technical design specifications and project requirements
Build Java/Scala-based RESTful APIs supporting functional requirements and scalable system performance
Partner with Business Analysts to identify design gaps and recommend system functionality improvements
Produce effort estimates for features, enhancements, and change requests
Create and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and adherence to design standards
Troubleshoot defects and operational issues across development, staging, and production environments
Apply technologies, methodologies, and tools to support project delivery and continuous improvement
Support reliable digital service delivery for federal programs across the full development lifecycle

• Hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade software using Java and Java Script
• Practical knowledge of designing and consuming RESTful APIs, including API integration and data exchange patterns
• Familiarity with Scala in a backend or service-oriented development context
• Experience using Splunk for log analysis, monitoring, and performance troubleshooting across multi-environment systems
• Demonstrated ability to write and execute unit tests, with an understanding of software testing best practices
• Skill in diagnosing and resolving defects across multiple deployment environments, including production
• Ability to translate technical designs into quality software solutions with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently and as an effective contributor within a collaborative development team
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a project-driven environment
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
