Overall ObjectiveThe Shipping/Receiving Clerk will coordinate daily shipping/logistics activities for the Circleville operations to satisfy all customer and supplier requirements.
Responsibilities- Customer Service – Work closely with Office Personnel and Operations, maintain high standards of service to customers, suppliers, employees, and carriers.
- Warehouse Operations – Monitor delivery exceptions, process documents (Bills of Lading, Shipping Labels, etc.), ensure shipping paperwork completeness, manage inventory for shipping and restocks, train shipping personnel, review daily shipping schedules, support sales representatives with sample product shipments and inventory, assist with office monthly inventory controls.
- Mobile Equipment Operation – Safely operate forklift or front‑end loader, load/unload trailers, operate yard jockey as needed.
- Quality – Verify that quality assurance measures are followed and communicate to supervisors, production staff, truck drivers, office personnel, and customers; assist with new procedures.
- Other Activities – Attend monthly safety meetings, support continuous improvement, assist supervisor and office personnel, perform other duties as assigned, serve as back‑up for Logistics Coordinator.
Must be able to lift 25 to 40 lbs.
Qualifications- High school diploma plus at least 2 years of experience in customer service, warehouse logistics, or inventory control.
- Understanding of logistics transactions, processes, and documentation.
- Customer‑centric orientation; able to respond promptly to email and phone inquiries.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ability to learn company systems quickly.
- Flexible work in a changing environment, strong numerical and time‑management skills, attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
