Responsibilities

  • Assist with Managing servers in local, Azure, AWS, and third-party partner data center environments.
  • Manage all VMs that host internal company key software systems.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a highly reliable, scalable, and secure enterprise network.
  • Monitor network performance to ensure availability and optimization across 300+ sites, supporting Southern Tire Mart’s business operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues swiftly to minimize downtime and impact on business activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network-related initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with IT systems.
  • Maintain and enhance network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for network infrastructure, processes, and systems.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior IT staff and assist with strategic IT planning.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years as a Network Engineer supporting enterprise-scale networks, ideally with multi-site environments.
  • Certifications: Strong preference for Cisco CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certifications; other certifications like Palo Alto, Juniper, or Fortinet are a plus.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Advanced knowledge of routing and switching.
  • Hands‑on experience with enterprise firewalls, VPNs, and SD‑WAN technologies.
  • Proficiency in Wi‑Fi architecture and deployment for enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of VoIP systems and Quality of Service (QoS) strategies.
  • Problem Solving:
    Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Leadership

    Skills:

    Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills.
