What You’ll Do

As a Diesel Technician
, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel‑powered vehicles while ensuring every repair meets the highest quality and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, exhaust systems, emissions systems, cooling systems, and drivability concerns
  • Perform advanced diagnostics on diesel engine performance and electrical systems
  • Complete repairs involving transmissions, suspension systems, steering components, braking systems, and drivetrain components
  • Perform preventative maintenance services including fluid services, inspections, filters, and system checks
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic software and service equipment to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues
  • Perform engine tear‑downs, rebuilds, and major component replacement when necessary
  • Document repair procedures according to dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Communicate repair recommendations and vehicle conditions clearly with service advisors and management
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Stay current on evolving diesel technology and service procedures
What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of diesel technician experience
  • Strong experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and diesel‑powered vehicles
  • Advanced knowledge of engine repair, fuel systems, emissions systems, and drivability diagnostics
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment and electronic repair systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced service environment
  • Strong communication skills and team‑oriented mindset
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Technician tools required (specialized dealership equipment provided)
Preferred Experience
  • Previous dealership diesel technician experience strongly preferred
  • Ford diesel engine experience highly valued
  • ASE Certifications preferred
  • Experience working on Super Duty trucks and heavy‑duty diesel systems preferred
  • Experience with advanced electrical diagnostics and modern diesel emissions systems highly valued
