Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting for 1st Choice Delivery. This position oversees daily accounting operations, manages the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, and provides leadership and development to the accounting team.
Working closely with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Operations, Treasury, and executive leadership, this role helps maintain U.S. GAAP compliance, strengthen internal controls, and support financial and operational decision-making. Responsibilities also include contributing to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and acquisitions.
In addition, the position plays a key role in 1st Choice Delivery’s transition from Quick Books to Net Suite and drives ongoing improvements to accounting systems, reporting, and workflows.
Essential Duties and Key Deliverables:
- Lead daily accounting operations for 1st Choice Delivery, ensuring accurate records and compliance with Company policies and U.S. GAAP
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process and deliver timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff supporting billing, accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, and general accounting
- Support 1st Choice Delivery's conversion from Quick Books to Net Suite, including design, testing, implementation, reporting, and troubleshooting
- Review general ledger activity, account reconciliations, internal controls, accounting policies, standard operating procedures, and reporting workflows
- Analyze financial statements and variances; partner across departments on budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making
- Monitor accounts receivable, collections, cash flow, treasury activities, and working capital; take appropriate action on past-due balances
- Coordinate audit and tax preparation support and integrate financial reporting for newly acquired companies
Required
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of eight years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience in an accounting or finance environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and demonstrated experience leading financial close and reporting processes
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze financial data and present findings clearly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical, actionable recommendations
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative customer-service mindset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the accuracy, discretion, and ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
