This position will provide office support and assist the K-5 English Language Arts Coordinator, the 6-12 English Language Arts Coordinator; and the K-12 Social Studies Coordinator in meeting the departmental needs of all students and teachers in the district.
Essential
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage the budgets and curricular materials for two K-12 departments, including managing quote requests and uploading contract information, purchasing, accounting, special payroll
- Track and manage orders of incoming materials and coordinate distribution of materials of up to 30 pounds
- Perform a wide range of clerical functions including data entry, electronic records-keeping, copying, and calendar management. Enter substitute requests into Frontline system;
Process professional leave applications and create travel arrangements for conferences for staff members & coordinators - Communicate with a variety of constituents (families, teachers, administrators, vendors) initiating and/or receiving written correspondence, telephone calls, or in-person visits
- Coordinate the logistics surrounding department meetings and professional development workshops
- Prepare documents for Board of Education approval though Simbli
- Use district-specific software such as Bank of America, Business Plus, Power School
- Coordinate Field Trip plans including scheduling, vendor payment, and bus requests for both in and out-of-town field trips
Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Columbia Public School District.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
High School Diploma;
Minimum three years Administrative Office experience;
Excellent organizational skills;
Ability to prioritize work load;
High degree of accuracy, and computer proficient.

Close vision ability to look at a computer screen for long periods of time is required.
