Overview
If you are motivated and believe in the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People," join our team!
Responsibilities- Greet members and respond to their needs or direct them to the appropriate person, department or source.
- Dispense information about account types and other Credit Union services.
- Handle establishment of new membership, open all accounts, and process changes.
- Educate members on available services and make recommendations based on their needs.
- Key all required transactions into the Margo system and balance the cash drawer accurately.
- Balance the vault, ATM, TCD, and coin sorter.
- Operate drive‑thru window as needed.
- Keep daily and monthly records of vault control, returned checks, Visa gift cards, theme park tickets, forgeries, and coin sorter.
- Prepare, order, and verify cash delivery and shipment once a week.
- Assist members with account problems, checking reconciliations, or transaction errors.
- Grant subsequent advances on existing credit cards, open lines and home equity lines of credit after consulting with an approving officer.
- Answer phone, file paperwork, scan documents into Image System, and perform other clerical duties as needed.
- May begin training in other branch operations areas as needed.
- High level of self‑control, confidence, basic math skills, organizational and communication skills, positive attitude, and neat appearance.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, exercise sound judgment, and work well under pressure.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
- Basic computer skills; proficiency with the Margo system and Image System.
- Attendance in accordance with the assigned schedule.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to cooperate and collaborate with co‑workers.
Office setting with physical proximity to other employees. Some background noise from other employees, a copy machine, and telephone.
Physical Demands- Use hands and fingers to lift telephone receiver, press keys on adding machine, and use computer keyboard.
- Relatively light physical work: sit 80%, stand 10%, walk 10% of the time.
- Communicate clearly to answer members’ questions and describe member services.
- Listen intently to members’ questions and concerns to facilitate quality service.
- Maintain visual acuity for completing forms such as check order forms, deposit and withdrawal slips, and savings documentation.
- May order supplies for the branch using a computer terminal.
- Maintain a manual cash drawer and count currency daily to balance cash drawer.
- May climb stairs when branch is located on multiple levels.
- Lift up to 5 pounds.
