Infinity Miles is seeking a Senior High Voltage Systems & Certification Engineer to lead medium‑voltage design compliance, insulation coordination, qualification testing, and product certification activities for our commercial SST platform.
Position OverviewThis role will be responsible for ensuring Infinity Miles products meet the electrical safety, insulation, reliability, and regulatory requirements necessary for commercial deployment. The ideal candidate will have experience with medium-voltage systems, insulation design, partial discharge mitigation, qualification testing, and certification programs across utility, industrial, renewable energy, or power conversion industries.
Preferred Qualifications- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience with medium-voltage or high-voltage electrical systems
- Strong understanding of insulation coordination, dielectric materials, and electric field management
- Experience with Partial Discharge (PD), Hi-Pot, and Basic Impulse Level (BIL) testing
- Familiarity with medium-voltage transformers, switch gear, power conversion systems, or utility equipment
- Knowledge of UL, IEC, IEEE, ANSI, and related electrical safety standards
- Experience working with certification laboratories and product qualification programs
- Lead insulation coordination and medium-voltage design reviews
- Define creepage, clearance, dielectric withstand, and insulation requirements for SST products
- Develop strategies for partial discharge mitigation and long-term insulation reliability
- Develop and execute qualification plans including Hi-Pot, Partial Discharge, BIL, environmental, and reliability testing
- Interface with external certification agencies, testing laboratories, and compliance organizations
- Lead certification efforts involving UL, IEC, IEEE, and other applicable standards
- Support failure analysis and root‑cause investigations related to insulation and high-voltage systems
- Collaborate with power electronics, magnetics, controls, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering teams
