New Business Representative I

Americo is hiring a full time New Business Representative I to join our expanding team. The hours for this position are Monday Friday 800am 500pm on site at our downtown Kansas City MO office location. Overview The New Business department is responsible for onboarding life and annuity policies and managing new business administrative processes within established guidelines and service level expectations.

This role supports internal agent and client facing departments and plays a key role in processing applications, handling inbound inquiries and ensuring timely and accurate policy issuance.

• Receive and process work via telephone, email and other electronic methods
• Index and submit application data into AWD, APNG, NBU and NBUW systems
• Review applications, make decisions and take appropriate actions to issue, close and process funding sources within service standards
• Communicate with agents during routine policy processing
• Handle internal phone inquiries from agent and client facing departments
• Assist with additional departmental needs including reporting, quality reviews, testing and special projects

• Detail oriented with strong attention to accuracy and deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks with competing deadlines
• Computer proficiency with willingness to learn new systems
• Strong organizational skills
• Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

• Prior experience in insurance, financial services or new business processing
• Experience working with policy administration or workflow systems
