STLRecruit is working with a construction client that has enjoyed exponential growth. As a result, they have a newly created role for a Financial Analyst. You will be preparing accurate budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports that support strategic planning and business decision-making. The position performs financial modeling, variance analysis, and ongoing reporting to deliver actionable insights while ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of financial data in alignment with company policies and regulations.
Working cross-functionally, the analyst gathers operational and financial inputs, evaluates trends and cost drivers, and prepares recurring and ad hoc analyses, dashboards, and presentations for leadership. Responsibilities include reconciling forecasts to actuals, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, communicating risks and opportunities, and leading process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects as needed.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance as well as 3+ years of FP&A or corporate finance experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, along with advanced Excel and other reporting tools such as Power BI, Planful, Tableau, Vena, etc. skills. A solid understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and KPI tracking, along with ethical business practices and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, is essential.
Only candidates local to St. Louis with experience in Construction accounting (Work in Progress, Percentage Completion, etc.) will be considered.
