Job Title: QA Coach

Location:
Remote (Sacramento, CA-based team)

Pay Rate: $70–$75/hr

Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a QA Coach to support a major initiative within the state of California. This role is critical in leading QA strategy, driving process improvements, and mentoring QA teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for leading QA efforts across multiple teams. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with a strong technical background and proven experience in coaching and managing QA professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor QA teams, ensuring alignment with state QA strategy and performance goals.
• Conduct automation and manual testing to identify and resolve code issues.
• Leverage tools and frameworks to streamline QA processes.
• Drive continuous improvement through metrics-based evaluations and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and industry best practices.
• Facilitate training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Define and track KPIs to measure QA effectiveness.
• Support hiring efforts: conduct interviews, administer Codility tests, and provide candidate feedback.
• Collaborate with state leadership to refine role descriptions and expectations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years in Quality Assurance, including 3+ years in a leadership role (Manager, Lead, or Coach).
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and Katalon
• Dev Ops/CI-CD tools:
  Docker, Git, CircleCI
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and agile practices.
• Proven ability to lead teams, foster collaboration, and drive results.
• Excellent communication skills — must be confident, articulate, and a strong cultural fit.
