Cybersecurity, Systems Analyst
Overview
TEKsystems is seeking an IT Security Project Manager II to support our Alaska-based client. This resource will manage enterprise-level security initiatives within a growing, fast-paced environment. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver critical cybersecurity projects, working cross-functionally with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure timelines, deliverables, and security standards are met.
The position is remote and will operate during typical daytime business hours in the Alaska Time Zone, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Execution- Support planning and execution of security-focused projects and initiatives
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation
- Track milestones, risks, and dependencies; escalate when needed
- Coordinate across teams to ensure on-time delivery of project tasks
- Assist with project meetings, updates, and reporting
- Ensure projects align with security requirements and best practices
- Partner with technical teams to integrate cybersecurity controls into deliverables
- Monitor project scope, schedules, and budgets, identifying any gaps or variances
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Build strong working relationships across technical and business teams
- Collaborate with senior project/program managers on cross-initiative alignment
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and process improvements
- Contribute to standard project templates and methodologies
- Support audit readiness and basic compliance tracking
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors on deliverables
- Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture
- 2-5 years of project management experience (IT or cybersecurity preferred)
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
- Basic understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC)
- Exposure to risk, compliance, or security-related initiatives
- Experience with tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Smartsheet
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams
- Eager to learn and grow within cybersecurity and program management
Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO. Fully remote.
Pay and BenefitsSalary: $35.00 – $43.00/hour.
