Responsibilities
- Manage daily port operations to ensure maximum velocity of vehicle deliveries to our dealer partner
- Monitor and execute revenue recognition targets in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Drive service provider performance through key performance metrics and scorecards
- Manage export damaged vehicles to maintain strong dealer delivery performance
- Build strong relationships with service providers throughout all modes of transportation
- Develop and maintain a forward‑looking 2–3 week operational plan for each node, ensuring timely vehicle movement within established budget parameters
- Engage with key supplier partners at appropriate cadences (daily, weekly, monthly) to build and sustain robust, executable logistics plans
- Proactively adjust plans to address capacity constraints and operational disruptions, including launches, weather events, quality holds, and peak period activities such as quarter‑end
- Collaborate with the Supplemental Lift Team and Purchasing to secure additional capacity, including non-preferred solutions when required to protect operations
- Support Vehicle Sales, Service, and Marketing (VSSM) by executing non-preferred moves to meet business needs
- Monitor and address supplier performance trends, including lift utilization, loading efficiency, processing timing, dwell, and vehicle aging
- Coordinate and execute field action plans in response to operational or quality‑related issues
- Identify and drive initiatives focused on cost optimization and transit time reduction, with a strong emphasis on premium freight mitigation
- Develop and define Statements of Requirements during sourcing to ensure clarity and alignment for all outbound vehicle operations activities at assigned nodes
- Drive accountability through regular performance reviews, scorecard management, and transparent data sharing with key stakeholders
- Facilitate the sharing and implementation of best practices across North American regions to promote continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross‑functional and external stakeholders, including VSSM, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, MEO, and carrier leadership and operations teams
- Lead and participate in carrier reviews, safety audits, and quality forums to ensure operational excellence and compliance
- 2+ years relevant work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics or product development (any internship or co‑op experience will not be considered)
- Knowledge of port operations
