Manufacturing Inventory Manager
As the Manufacturing Inventory Manager, you are responsible for providing leadership to team members of Palmetto State Armory in support of achieving the goals and objectives. You will perform tasks in accordance with defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a 24-hour, distribution center/assembly department, supporting multiple business channels. You will be assigned to concentrate on a particular function or business but will be expected at times to work across multiple areas, and potentially on different shifts, in support of the total organizational business goals.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Inventory management: cycle counting, inventory variances, organizing, inventory research, etc.
- Pulling material to production floor via work orders and parts request
- Training employees
- Ensure accuracy of systemic transfers of product
- Facilitate daily production flow
- Communication with accounting, production team, production planning, buyers, ANO, QC and other pertinent parties
- Maintenance of inventory supplies
- Maintaining work orders, bill of materials and other systemic settings
- Work closely with Quality Control to move product systemically and physically to respective areas
- Conduct full wall to wall inventories – to include staffing teams, creating counts in Net Suite and count sheets, reconciling and approving counts
- Adequately staff the department to include all hiring and administration through time and attendance system
- Manage two shifts:
Day shift (7:00am-3:30pm) and Night shift (4:30pm-1:00am) - Assist in the build of new product skus
- Make any necessary repair/warranty adjustments
- Handle VRA's for subsidiary companies and manage inter-company sales orders within Netsuite
- Track PSA presells and ensure presold work orders are processed timely for the manufacturing floor
- Attend daily production meetings and report on any work order issues
- Assist in forklift training
- Obtain quotes and complete proper CER paperwork for new or replacement capital equipment.
- Achieves warehouse operational objectives as set by the Director of Inventory & Logistics by providing recommendations regarding strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing and monitoring production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends. Receives and stores products by designing and developing product movement and storage systems; improving operations; managing staff.
- Accomplishes warehouse operations human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Understands, follows, and enforces the Supply Chain Philosophy. Has a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
- Monitors staff performance and progress motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
- Oversee the Supervisor's production of daily attendance reports for all employees. Additionally, monitor the approval of employee's time and leave to ensure the Supervisor is managing it properly based on the needs of the organization.
- Keeping stock control systems up to date and making sure inventories are accurate.
- Is the Expert in all facets of Warehouse Operations and enforces standards. Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving products into the warehouse, equipment utilization, inventory management, monitoring proficiency and accuracy at all times.

- Minimum requirement - Associates Degree in Business or applicable curriculum
- 2-4 years of manufacturing warehousing experience
- 2 years supervisory experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
