Regional Float ED Registered Nurse (RN) – Central Staffing Office (CSO)
Join BJC Health Care’s Central Staffing Office (CSO) as a Regional Float ED Registered Nurse and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care across the system. In this role you’ll support 11 BJC hospitals across Missouri and Illinois (excluding Children’s Hospital) while working three 12‑hour night shifts with flexible start times and a rotating weekend and holiday schedule. This position is designed for experienced nurses who value variety and flexibility, and offers system‑wide exposure within a supportive, team‑oriented environment.

- 2+ years of Emergency Department (ED) RN experience (required)
- Previous trauma and float experience preferred
- Current Missouri RN license + ability to obtain Illinois RN license
- Willingness to travel between BJC facilities in MO & IL
- Strong adaptability in variable clinical environments
- ADN, BSN, or MSN accepted
- Initial 1st week will be a 5‑day full‑time training commitment to support your success
- Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance
- Use standards of medical‑surgical nursing practice to increase the quality of care for the patient, family and significant others
- Establish effective relationships and serve as an advocate to facilitate development of a unique care plan for each patient
- Apply the nursing process and evidence‑based practice to develop and implement care plans and evaluate patient outcomes
- Utilize leadership skills by collaborating with patients, families, significant others and the interprofessional team to assess needs, plan interventions and evaluate outcomes
- Apply evidence‑based practice and scientific knowledge to meet patient‑specific needs and clinical needs
- Communicate effectively and participate in collaborative decision making that reflects cultural sensitivity, ethics, law, and compassion
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safety as required for a safety‑sensitive position
- Education:
Nursing Diploma/Associate’s - Experience:
2–5 years of nursing experience - Licenses &
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS), RN (state license required) - Supervisor
