Position: Charge Nurse: Adult Medical / Medical Specialties

Core Charge Registered Nurse

Shift: Three 12-hour shifts  weekend days Department:
Medical Specialty / Adult Medical Compensation:

· Base Pay Range: $34.46 - $51.02 per hour/per year, based on experience

· Special Pay:
Additional $3.00 per hour

· Shift Differentials:
Additional $8.00 per hour for weekend program shift

· Sign-On Bonus: $25,000

About Medical Specialty

Medical Specialties is a 55-bed unit divided into east and west wings. We deliver exceptional medical and nursing care to a varied patient population, ranging from young adults (18+) to the elderly. Our unit primarily admits patients with acute episodes or chronic conditions that do not necessitate a more specialized unit. We treat a wide array of illnesses, including pneumonia, sepsis, gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, cellulitis, infectious diseases, mental status changes, and substance withdrawal.

This unit is an excellent place to work, offering exposure to a broad spectrum of illnesses and a varied patient demographic. This environment will enhance your understanding of disease processes, help you master your time management skills, and strengthen your critical thinking abilities. Job Description

Provides clinical patient care within the scope of a Registered Nurse, including assessment of condition, goal setting, and nursing actions to meet the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of the patient. Assesses, intervenes, and reassesses patient self-report and symptoms of pain promptly, utilizing an appropriate tool for assessment and reassessment. Demonstrates an understanding of medications regarding action and side effects.
