Charge Nurse - Medical Surgical – Ortho/Neuro Trauma (Charge)

Location: Kansas City, MO
Shifts: Days & Nights 7p-7a | Rotating Weekends
Salary: $35.65 – $47.64/hr (DOE)
Sign-On/Relocation: Case-by-case

• $35 – $47/hr DOE
• Night/Weekend Differential: +$4/hr
• Sign-On & Relocation:

It is a 585+ bed acute care hospital offering world-class specialty care, including:

• Level I Trauma Center & Stroke Center
• Chest Pain Center & Breast Care Center
• Orthopedics across multiple KC locations
• Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programs

As a Charge Nurse
, you will lead the unit/department during your shift, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. You will:

• Oversee nursing operations and staff performance
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and patient throughput
• Support staff development, training, and conflict resolution

• Current acute care experience in Med-Surg (charge RN preferred OR 2+ years recent Med-Surg staff RN)
• Registered Nurse Diploma; BSN preferred
• Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license)
• BLS & ACLS within 30 days of start date
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Participation in professional nursing organizations encouraged
