Americare Senior Living is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to provide safe, accurate medication administration and support daily care for our senior residents. In this role, you will follow physician orders, document in EHR systems, monitor resident responses, and promptly report changes to nursing staff. You'll assist with ADLs, promote dignity and comfort, and maintain infection control and safety standards. Working in our resident-centered, team-oriented community, you'll build meaningful relationships with residents and families while contributing to a compassionate, mission-driven care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer oral, topical, and other prescribed medications according to physician orders and facility policies
  • Verify medication orders, dosages, and resident identification to ensure safe administration
  • Document medications, treatments, and resident responses accurately in EHR or paper records
  • Monitor residents for side effects, changes in condition, and promptly report concerns to licensed nurses
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting dignity, comfort, and independence
  • Follow infection control, fall prevention, and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Support new resident admissions and transitions by helping with orientation and care routines
  • Maintain medication carts, supply levels, and proper storage, including controlled substances documentation
  • Participate in in-service training and ongoing education to uphold regulatory and quality standards
