Role
As the Quality Assurance Manager, you'll be a site quality leader—responsible for implementing and maintaining best‑in‑class quality assurance programs and systems. You’ll lead a small team and work cross‑functionally with Production, Innovation, and Operations to ensure our products meet the highest standards for safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Lead the site's Quality Management and Food Safety programs, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and support third‑party audits, internal audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Manage customer complaints and lead root‑cause investigations, corrective actions, and prevention strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality performance, including GMP standards, product compliance, and complaint reduction.
- Partner with Operations and NPD teams to support new product development, product launches, and process optimization.
- Lead HACCP review processes and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Coach and develop the QA team, fostering a strong food safety and quality culture across the site.
We’re looking for a hands‑on Quality Assurance professional with a strong background in food manufacturing and a passion for driving high standards. You’re confident leading teams, solving problems, and influencing others to do things the right way—that may be the role for you.
Qualifications & Skills- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance roles within the food manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of HACCP, BRCGS/GFSI, and quality systems.
- Proven track record managing audits and regulatory compliance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence and lead cross‑functional teams.
- Passion for driving improvement and delivering high‑quality outcomes.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Familiarity with Lean or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Strong report writing, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complexity.
Our client is a leading Dairy and Cheese manufacturer with 8 manufacturing sites in the USA. They specifically require Dairy/Food manufacturing experience.
