ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Build rapport and relationships with HCPs, office staff, regional team members, and cross-functional partners.
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and product in-servicing.
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote product and provide product/patient education.
- Strategically manage and grow relationships with key accounts; tailor solutions, drive differentiation, and achieve sales targets.
- Regularly review/analyze sales data to create territory plans and use promotional budget funds.
- Address external market challenges while collaborating internally to drive cohesive sales strategies.
- Proactively work with cross-functional teams to integrate expertise and execute sales strategies.
- Maintain call average (face-to-face interactions) with healthcare providers focused on top targets.
- Use traditional and nontraditional problem-solving to improve performance in the assigned region.
- Adhere to compliance policies and guidelines.
- Achieve sales performance goals/objectives and complete administrative duties for the territory.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred in related field).
- Documented business-to-business sales experience; pharmaceutical sales preferred.
- Preferred: experience managing complex healthcare accounts with multiple stakeholders across COEs, academic medical centers, integrated health systems, and specialty practices.
- Preferred: collaboration with specialty pharmacies, patient support programs, reimbursement and access stakeholders.
- Preferred: neurology, psychiatry, pediatric, rare disease, specialty therapeutics, or other complex disease states.
- Preferred: new product launch experience in specialty/complex disease markets.
- Proven achievements toward meeting objectives.
- Strong written/oral communication.
- Ability to interact with HCPs in-person and virtually; proficient with technology.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of reimbursement/managed care/marketing (preferred).
- Ability to pass background, motor, and drug screening.
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Regular travel; may include air travel and weekend/overnight travel.
