How You’ll Spend Your Day — Essential Areas of Responsibility
- Build rapport and relationships with regional team members, cross-functional partners, and external contacts (HCP and office staff)
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and product in-servicing
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote products and provide product/patient education
- Strategically manage and grow key account relationships to meet sales targets
- Review and analyze sales data to create territory plans and utilize promotional budget funds
- Address external market challenges while collaborating internally to drive cohesive sales strategies
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution of sales strategies
- Maintain call average per sales plan with face-to-face interactions focused on top target customers
- Use traditional and nontraditional problem-solving to improve performance in assigned region
- Adhere to compliance policies and guidelines
- Achieve sales goals, reach objectives, and complete administrative duties
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably related field)
- Documented business-to-business sales experience; pharmaceutical sales preferred
- Preferred: managing complex healthcare accounts across major systems/centers of excellence; engaging multiple stakeholders
- Preferred: experience with specialty pharmacies, patient support/reimbursement/access stakeholders
- Preferred: neurology/psychiatry/pediatric/rare disease/specialty therapeutics or other complex disease states
- Preferred: new product launch experience
- Senior Sales Specialist: minimum 1 year;
Executive Sales Specialist: minimum 7 years
- Proven accomplishments in meeting market objectives; strong written/oral communication
- Ability to engage HCPs face-to-face and virtually; proficient with technology
- Leadership/interpersonal skills; reimbursement/managed care/marketing knowledge preferred
- Ability to pass background, motor, and drug screening
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
- Regular travel; may include air travel and weekend/overnight travel
