Federal Protection Inc. seeks an Alarm Service Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot alarm and electronic security systems for banks and financial institutions. Based in our Technical & Maintenance team, you'll perform field service, testing, and repairs on intrusion, fire, access control, and video systems, ensuring uptime and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with a team-oriented, integrity-driven company that protects mission-critical operations, offers hands-on work with advanced security technology, and supports long-term career growth in a stable, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, and service intrusion, fire, access control, and video surveillance systems at client sites
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and system upgrades to minimize downtime
- Diagnose and troubleshoot wiring, device, and network issues; complete timely repairs and replacements
- Document service activities, test results, and system changes in service management tools
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and financial institution security requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, dispatch, and client contacts to schedule and complete service calls
- Provide technical support, training, and system use guidance to bank and business staff
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, safe, and organized condition
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service as needed
- Follow all safety, security, and data privacy procedures while working in sensitive environments
Required Skills
- Alarm and intrusion system installation and servicing
- Fire alarm systems and code-compliant testing
- Low-voltage wiring, termination, and cable management
- Access control and electronic locking hardware
- IP video surveillance systems and basic networking
- Control panel programming and configuration
- Use of multimeters, testers, and diagnostic tools
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Service documentation and work order systems
- Knowledge of safety, electrical, and security standards/codes
