Community Support Mentor

Do you believe that everyone deserves a vibrant social life and a supportive home environment? We're looking for a Community Support Mentor to join our team. This isn't a "sit and watch" kind of job — you'll be the bridge between our clients and their communities, acting as a coach, a companion, and a professional "wingman" for navigating life.

• In-Home Respite:
  Providing high-quality care within the client's home — helping with daily routines, engaging in hobbies, and giving primary caregivers the peace of mind to recharge.
• Community Networking:
  Helping clients identify interests (clubs, sports, volunteering), attending local events together, and building the social skills needed for lasting independence.

• Be a Social Architect:
  Help clients discover local events, classes, or groups that align with their passions.
• Provide Meaningful Respite:
  Create a safe, fun, engaging environment at home — board games, meal prepping, just hanging out.
• Bridge the Gap:
  Facilitate introductions and community interactions until the client feels confident doing it solo.
• Documentation:
  Keep brief, clear notes on progress and goals.

• Relationally Minded: A "people person" who builds trust and maintains professional boundaries.
• Adaptive:
  Reads the room — knows when to step in and when to step back.
• Reliable:
  Consistency is your middle name.
• Resourceful:
  Knows the local community (or is great at finding it).

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License (Class
  
  E), reliable transportation, clean driving record.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check (FCSR/EDL/OIG/SOR).
• Current CPR/First Aid certification; L1MA or willingness to obtain upon hire.
