Position Summary

As a Dev Ops Engineer Intern at Delta Dental of Missouri (DDMO), you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced engineering team to gain hands‑on experience in the fields of Dev Ops and Azure cloud environments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products while also contributing to the continuous improvement of our development and deployment processes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with full stack engineers to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for both frontend and backend systems.
  • Participate in the development and execution of test plans and test cases to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of our software applications.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for application and infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI‑powered Dev Ops tools to enhance pipeline intelligence, including automated anomaly detection, predictive incident response, and AI‑assisted code review or test generation within Azure Dev Ops workflows.
  • Contribute to the monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of our production systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment.
  • Adhere to and support Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes, ensuring proposed changes meet established standards prior to implementation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and trends in Dev Ops and Quality Assurance to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Run agile scrum meetings when needed.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree or a recent graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum, Dev Ops methodologies.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML operationalization (MLOps) concepts and AI model deployments.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Prior experience with Dev Ops tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) and QA automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
