Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented CAD Designer with a minimum of two years of experience creating, modifying, and maintaining technical drawings. This role supports engineering and project teams by producing accurate 2D and 3D models, updating existing designs, and ensuring all documentation meets internal and industry standards. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with engineers, and managing multiple design tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities- Create, update, and revise detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on engineering specifications, sketches, and project requirements.
- Modify existing designs to reflect engineering changes, field updates, or customer feedback.
- Maintain drawing accuracy, version control, and documentation consistency across all project files.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure designs meet functional and production requirements.
- Prepare layout drawings, assembly drawings, part drawings, and bill‑of‑materials documentation.
- Review drawings for completeness, clarity, and compliance with company standards.
- Support engineering teams during design reviews and assist in resolving drawing‑related issues.
- Ensure all CAD files are organized and stored according to internal document‑control procedures.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CAD Designer, Drafter, or similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Works, Inventor, or similar).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Experience working with architectural drawings preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, PA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
