Summary: Assembles parts to produce a variety of ovens by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to read schematics and prints to assemble both standard and custom pieces of equipment with varying degrees of complexity.
- Able to operate basic hand and power tools.
- Mounts components such as doors, motors, heaters, blowers, fans, and coils to weldment according to blueprints.
- Positions parts in specified relationship to each other.
- Bolts, screws, or otherwise fastens parts together.
- Drills and taps mounting holes.
- Works as member of assembly group assembling various parts to order.
- Works at different work stations as production needs require or shifts from one station to another.
- Insulates cabinets.
- Installs liners, motors, heaters, and other options.
- Signs off on sign-off sheet as steps are completed and inspects unit prior to release to test.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Six to twelve months experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong mechanical aptitude required.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to capture data and write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to accurately measure with a tape measure and square to 1/32".
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills may be needed to retrieve computerized CAD drawings and other job information. Ability to use BPCS system to enter and retrieve information.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Willingness to obtain a forklift license desirable.
Other Qualifications: Must be able to perform basic blueprint reading. Familiarity with basic hand tools such as hand drills, wrenches, sockets screwdrivers. Must be mechanically inclined and willing work overtime on an as-needed basis to maintain production deadlines.
